Untitled - Nude on mirror - Fuscia

£696.00

By Vishal Joshi

“What if identity isn’t fixed, but something we glimpse—through, around, and because of the surfaces between us?”

The Glass Surface Series explores how our environment mediates perception—how we see ourselves and how we are seen. Each abstracted nude is painted directly onto glass, a material that reflects and reveals simultaneously. In doing so, the viewer becomes part of the work: layered between their own reflection and the painted figure.

The fragmented, expressive brushwork resists perfection, inviting a more vulnerable and authentic engagement. These figures do not seek definition—they exist in flux, like the identities they represent.

The series poses a quiet provocation: when we strip away the constructed image, what remains of the self?
